About Prana

Prana is a Sanskrit word and its closest meaning is life giving or Life Energy. Prana is needed for the sustenance of our physical body. In short, Prana is that Vital Energy that keeps the body alive and healthy.

We get Prana from different sources as detailed below and also Plants/ Trees and from the food we eat. Prana is recognised in different cultures with different names like ki in Japanese, chi in Chinese, Nephesch in Ebreo, Esma in Catalan, pneuma in Greek, mana in Polynesian, and ruah in Hebrew, which means “the breath of life”.

Sources of Prana (s) and how we absorb them :

We absorb Prana from these 3 sources everyday. We can however draw in more Prana if we learn to do it consciously.

These 3 major sources of prana are sun, air and ground. Of the 3, we seem to have been losing much connect with ground prana due to our lifestyle choices like living in high rise buildings, wearing shoes that disconnects us to this prana.

Ground Prana is one of the 3 Types of Prana required by our body. This Prana is found just above Ground/ Soil layer and it also interpenetrates the Ground. They are said to be denser than Air Prana.

Ground Prana is equally needed by us for the proper functioning of our Physical Body.

Solar Prana Specifics

  • By Sunbathig or exposure to Sunlight (5 to 10 mins).
  • Prolonged exposure can also harm.
  • Drinking water thats exposed to Sunlight.

Air Prana Specifics

  • Absorbed by Lungs through Breathing and Chakras/ energy centres.
  • More Air Prana can be absorbed by Deep Slow Rhythmic breathing.​​

Ground Prana Specifics

  • Through the soles of the Feet.
  • This happens automatically and unconsciously.
  • Ground Prana is denser at the ground level.

Simple Hacks - Conciously absorb Ground Prana​​

  • Sleep on the floor if you want to draw in ground prana. you can use a mat made of natural material if you dont want to lie directly on the floor.. 
  • Avoid leather, rubber, synthetic foam as they are would interrupt in the process.
  • Take a swim in the sea once periodically, this cleanses the energy body.
  • Additionally after the above, you can bury the body in sand and this will let you gradually absorb ground prana.
  • Wounds and physical wounds seem to heal faster with ground prana, from a healing perspective.

Identify the Chakra

- The Foot has chakras, here we will refer to Sole Chakras. Each Foot has one.

- just concentrating on those chakras will activate them. - Else press a few seconds

Concentrating on Sole Chakras and simultaneously doing pranic breathing can tremendously increase the amount of Ground Prana absorbed through the Sole Chakras.
